Thanks for this article (from the far north of Scotland (Lairg))! My son gave us a book on weather for Christmas and I have just given my husband an anemometer for his birthday—so we are really into weather at the moment. I subscribed because of the weather angle, but the Laura Ingalls Wilder one was a bonus. I spent a year in the States (Illinois)a long time ago and read all the Little House books while I was there. I loved them!😊 I have seen graupel (but did not know the name for it). This was a great recap on the different types of precipitation and I look forward to more of your posts!
